The Huntington Eagles Varsity Boys were invited to participate in the Southern Wells Summer Shootout. This Basketball event was for athletes who had not yet graduated from high school. The Eagles sponsored a Summer league Basketball team of Varsity Homeschool Athletes. The Athletes participating were Elliot Flamion, Caleb Featherston, Chris Thomas, Brian Kelsey, Tyler Shroyer, Samuel Daniels, Trevor Lloyd, Taylor Lehman, Matt Weaver, Luke Wesseling and Jonathon Yarde. They were coached by Mark Featherston and Jeff Humbarger.
They played 4 games against IHSAA school teams. They squeezed by Lakewood Park 31-27, then lost to Monroe Central 52-54, and overcame Eastbrook in their third pool game. They then played Monroe Central (who finished undefeated for the day) for the Championship and lost 49-54, to finish in 2nd Place.

against Lakewood Park: Caleb 5, Chris 5, Brian, 3, Tyler 4, Taylor 3, Matt 7, Luke 4.
against Monroe Central: Elliot 2, Caleb 9, Chris 2, Brian 2, Samuel 4, Taylor 7, Matt 11, Luke 15.
against Eastbrook: Elliot 4, Caleb 4, Chris 4, Brian 3, Tyler 14, Trevor 3, Taylor 4, Matt 8, Luke 8.
in the Championship: Caleb 14, Brian 2, Samuel 2, Taylor 9, Matt 6, Luke 16.
